VAAL RIVER CARNIVAL
VAAL RIVER CARNIVAL 2023 WELCOMES YOU...
BACKGROUND
Since its inception in 2002, the Vaal River Carnival (VRC) has grew in stature. The Carnival has managed to successfully bring people of every colour, race, age and background together in celebration of the beauty, history and richness of the Vaal. The success was made possible by the partnership between the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM), local community, NGOs, Parastatals and other Non Governmental organizations. All parties came together with the purpose of marketing and profiling Sedibeng as one of the best tourism and investment destinations.
Aimed at ensuring that tourists and investors experience the Vaal River, historic sites, state of the art hotels, conference facilities, other business and leisure facilities, the return of the Carnival forms part of local economic growth. The partneship between the municipality and product/event owners has brought the popular VRC programme back to life with intentions to elevate it back to its glory days.
The Carnival presents 9 exciting events throughout the month of September 2023. These events have made it a popular and rapidly growing Carnival in the Mzansi.
