9 February 2010 - The Emfuleni Local Municipality will be holding a two day Career Expo as part of the Municipality’s effort to showcase the Libraries and Information Services (LIS) to the public. The Expo’s focus will be the provision of information that will empower and develop the Emfuleni community with career related information.

5 February 2010 - Two more Vaal Dam sluice gates were closed today following a decrease in the water inflow into the dam. This brings the number of closed gates to ten since last week Friday. One more gate is expected to be closed tomorrow (Saturday 06/02) and there is a high possibility that another one could be closed on Sunday. The Vaal Dam is now 100-percent full.

3 February 2010 - Another Vaal Dam sluice gate has been closed following a dramatic decrease in the water inflow into the dam. This brings the number of closed gates to seven since last week Friday. Four were closed yesterday. The Vaal Dam is now 103-percent full, which is six-percent less than the weekend level. This is attributed to the water inflow which has been on a decrease since Friday last week.

 2 February 2010 - Two more Vaal Dam sluice gates were closed this morning following a decrease in the water inflow into the dam. This brings the number of closed gates to four since last week Friday. This has led to a decrease in the water flow into the Vaal River. Two more gates are expected to be closed this afternoon.
