18 November 2010 - The Emfuleni Local Municipality’s Office of the Speaker will convene an annual People’s Assembly under the theme: “together we can do more to strengthen the Ward Committee System”. The People’s Assembly forms part of the Mayors programme convened through the Speakers office, which seeks to deepen democracy through accountability and transparency. This programme also seeks to deepen public participation.

During the People’s Assembly, the Executive Mayor will present an annual report reflecting on the Emfuleni Local Municipality’s achievements and challenges in relation to service delivery.
