On behalf of Emfuleni Local Municipality, I would like to unconditionally wish all the matriculants of the class of 2010 all the best as they face their final examinations. We completely without reservation appreciate the sense of urgency and commitment to which both learners and educators showed after having been subjected to testing times that led to disruptions to your schooling and learning process during the public servants strike and the extended break due to the world cup.

As government, we continue to be committed in our view of positioning education as one of the leading priorities for the  foreseeable future.
We acknowledge many challenges you faced and believe your good efforts would contribute immensely to continued renewal of our schooling and education system in line with the overarching vision that informs our education policy of 'People's Education for People's Power'.

Therefore it is our hope that these examinations would be conducted under favourable conditions knowing full well that you enjoy the unconditional support not only of your municipality, but of your educators, parents and the community at large.

We further hope that you will do us proud fully aware of our belief that you are our greatest investment as we move forward through time. There is no worthier cause than the care of the future generations.
